Based out of Toronto, Canada, DJ KSR is a DJ for Canada's premiere wedding DJs - Empire Entertainment and has done weddings across N. America, ranging from cities such as San Francisco, Miami, Montreal, New York, Ottawa and Toronto. DJ KSR also headlines many special club and formal events, as he is one of the official DJs for South Asian Alliance, Rock This Entertainment and Nach Too Much. KSR is also officially endorsed by Hun Dus Clothing Co. In 2010, DJ KSR released the Forever mixtape, one of the most creative mashup mixtapes to date. The Forever mixtape set the industry standard for South Asian mixtapes and was critically acclaimed by artists like RDB and many DJs around the globe.
After the huge international success of Forever, DJ KSR is back once again with the highly anticipated album follow up mixtape entitled ADDICTION, all hosted by Fatman Scoop. This mixtape features an hour long mashup set mixed with Bhangra, Hip Hop, House and Bollywood. DJ KSR's unique style of mixing tells the listeners a story by relating the songs he remixes. For example, in ADDICTION, DJ KSR mixes Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How To Dougie" with Amar Arshi's "Aaja Ni Aaja Tenu Nachna Sikha Diyan" and mixes Chris Brown's "Where Do We Go From Here" with No Mercy's "Where Do You Go" and Daft Punk's "Around The World". Lets face it, with the advancement of technology, anyone can mix 2 songs together with the same BPM, but KSR’s creativity is what sets him aside from the rest of the DJs. DJ KSR took the mainstream approach with this mixtape by getting the undisputed voice of the club, the 2 time Grammy award winner - Fatman Scoop to be the host. Fatman Scoop is a hip hop promoter and radio personality famed for his on-stage rough, raw, loud voice. He is known for the track "Be Faithful" which went to number one in the UK and Ireland in late 2003 and top 5 in Australia.
The mixtape will be available for free download at www.djksr.com on May 5. 2 major release parties have been set up for Toronto. On May 6, DJ KSR will be performing with JK and Culture Shock at Madness 2 and on May 13, DJ KSR will be djing alongside Miss Pooja for her first ever club performance at Nach Too Much.
